Update – 6/30/22
Believers Youth Camp 2022 is just days away and we are looking forward to your arrival Saturday July 2. If for some reason you are unable to attend camp and have previously registered, please let us know as we have quite a few people still on the waitlist. In addition, some campers did not get a confirmation letter and we found that our emails were captured by spam filters so some people did not get the replies and in a few instances email addresses were mistyped when registration forms were submitted. If you filled out the online form you are registered.
We look forward to your arrival at camp and ask that all campers stop at registration before proceeding to the dorms. Registration will begin at 2pm on July 2. If arriving before this time you may be automatically enlisted in our cleaning, prep, and setup activities.
As you prepare for camp, or are helping your camper prepare, there are a few things you need to bring and some things you must NOT bring and that list is as follows:
A few additional suggestions for parents and campers as you prepare for camp. Mark clothes and Bibles with camper’s name. From previous camps we have a large collection of Bibles, some appearing brand new that were left behind with no ID in them. At the close of camp each dorm leader scours the dorm for unclaimed clothing and often the campers don’t recognize that favorite shirt when it is wadded up as a ball, and without identification on the item we can’t get it home with the camper. In one dorm alone last year an entire trash can of clothing was left behind with no identification.
With covid restrictions having been lifted, we are once again allowing parents to attend the services this year. We do have a few of our own restrictions still in place regarding visitors, and they are as follows:
- Visitors are asked to park in the parking area to the south west side of the main auditorium and that all visitors leave the grounds before dark.
- We do not allow campers to leave the campground without permission from the camp administrator.
- Visitors are not to enter the dorms but are to remain in the common areas such as dining hall and auditoriums.
- Visitors may eat meals in the dining hall and we ask that those choosing to do so please make a donation for the cost of the meals. Suggested donations for meals $4 for those under age 10 and $7 for all others.
Service times for the week are:
Saturday night 7pm
Sunday 9:30am and 6:30pm
Monday thru Thursday 9:30am and 6pm
Camp checkout will be Friday July 8th from sunrise until noon.
Update – 6/1/22
It is just a few weeks till July 2nd and the start of BYC 2022, and as of June 1st camp is completely filled with registered campers. If you filled out the online registration form you are registered and should have received a confirmation email to confirm registration as well. For anyone still wanting to attend camp we are placing names on a wait list at this time and you will be notified should bed space become available. To be added to the wait list send an email to: email@example.com with name and contact information.
Welcome to BYC!
Believers Youth Camp 2022 will begin on July 2nd and continues through July 8th in Fortville, Indiana. The theme is: “Born of God”
1 John 5:4 – For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even, our faith.
BYC is a week of camp-meeting for young people ages 10 and older. The purpose is to create an atmosphere where young people can grow their faith and come to have a personal experience with Jesus Christ as their Savior. We have many activities scheduled already, including morning breakout sessions for the graduates again this year. If you have never attended BYC before, check out the photo page on the website to get a glimpse of past camp-meeting happenings. You might even see someone you already know! Also, check out the sermon archives from last year’s camp-meeting for some pre-camp encouragement.
A few changes have been made to the registration process this year to make it easier for you. You will find the link on the website for registering online. No longer will you need to print, fax, or send a screenshot of your forms; we have added online payment as an option as well. Be sure to mark your shirt size on the form, as each camper who is pre-registered will be given a camp shirt at check-in.
Lastly, remember to read the rules and plan to abide by them, and that includes (NO FIREWORKS). Mark your calendar now and pass the website information on to your friends so they can register, too. Each year I hear comments such as, “we did not know about BYC until a friend of a friend told us about camp.” Make sure to spread the word and register early as camp will likely become full quickly.
BYC has a volunteer staff and we always have a need for leaders and workers to assist with the many duties of operating a week of camp. Skills needed include: kitchen prep, dishwashing, night watch (husband/wife teams,) janitorial, crafts, activity coordinators, dorm leaders, and more. For anyone interested in coming to camp as a worker or leader, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
For those planning to fly to camp: Fortville, Indiana is located about 45 minutes from the Indianapolis Airport. We offer shuttle service to/from the airport, but please let us know your flight itinerary via email as soon as possible to help us coordinate the number of shuttle vehicles/drivers that will be needed.
Camp preparations are already well underway; those Arizona lemons have been squeezed and frozen for the lemon shake-ups, menus are being planned, ministers are already preparing, activities are being scheduled, Believers are praying, and Brother Sonny is anxious to see everyone again. We ask you to be praying for the camp-meeting, that many will be “Born of God.”
See you soon.
